It’s been a crazy couple of months.
Peeps, when you decide to move abroad, strip your material belongings down to the bare essentials, believe me, you get focused real fast.
I’m about to embark on a new chapter of my life and turn the page.
I have a vision of the countries I want to visit, the things I’d like to do, and the belief that the universe will conspire in a serendiptious sort of way, to deliver intellectually intoxicating people and experiences on my path.
Why am I doing this? Because it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time.
Seeds for the idea have been planted along the way.
I’ll never forget the first time I stepped inside the walls of the United Nations. I was on a field trip, probably 10 years of age or so. Seeing the different people roaming this historic building. Differences in color, clothing, and communication. I was mesmerized and energized by it all!
Then there’s the time when I remember Mom had Dad convinced we were moving to Australia. Why? Because she liked the beach, that’s why! 🙂
That particular move never happened. What’s puzzling is that being God gave me extra when he was dishing out curiosity, for some reason I never asked Mom why we never took the plunge to go down under. Nevertheless, this moment demonstrated I could live anywhere if I really wanted to.
Then of course there is Herman and Candelaria Zapp. They fell in love at the tender age of 10. There childhood dream was to travel abroad. In 2000 they set out to drive from Argentina to Alaska in a 1928 Graham-Paige vintage car with virtually zero bank. Since then they’ve logged over 250K miles around the world. Incredible.
I’d like to say more though I’m running out of time. Trying to figure out what to take, what to give away, and what to put in storage. Not an easy task. Though I’ll get it done.
It’s amazing what you can accomplish as you watch the hourglass sand fill the bottom of the timepiece.
I implore you. If you decide to go for your endgame, align and be intentional. Don’t straddle the fence with indecision. You’re diluting energy between two choices. Pick a path and go after it as if you will not be denied.
After all:

Time’s tickin’ away

So, Steve, where are you going?
Somewhere nice and warm! 🙂
Oh wow! I can’t wait to read about your adventures! When you’re packing… make sure you bring Winning Well for the plane ride 😉
Thanks Karin. I appreciate it!
